Bots for Life

Tech High School received multiple grants from the Tech High School Alumni Association and Local Education & Activities Foundation (LEAF) for scholarships to NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.  Students from the robotics club, robotics class, and aerospace engineering class attended a week long educational experience in Houston in 2015 and 2016.  Students explored various aircraft, spacecraft, and robotics at the Lone Star Flight Museum, Space Center Houston, Ellington Field, and NASA Johnson Space Center.  Students also met with scientists, engineers, education specialists, and astronauts to discuss career pathways in the aerospace field.  Additional cultural experiences included Don Pico's Mexican Restaurant, Kemah Boardwalk Amusement Park, Gulf of Mexico, Houston Livestock and Rodeo, and country music concert.  Another experience is currently planned for Spring 2018.
